Notes to the KS references KOLBENSCHMIDT work with two series of numbers: the standard KS reference with eight digits as well as a relevant code number. The code number consists of three or four digits and two or three letters. The digits identify the filter and the letters designate the filter type.
The eight-digit KS reference appears on all documents, such as delivery notes and invoices. The first five digits are always "50 013" or "50 014". The last three or four numbers identify the filter and are identical with the figures of the code number.

Product Information Engine filters have the function to prevent oil, air and fuel contaminations from getting into the inside of engines. Air and fuel are needed by the engine for combustion. Oil, in contrast, is used for engine cooling on the one hand, and, on the other, for reducing friction in those areas in which moving parts contact each other or mesh. |
